:::Ambassadors Prepartory Academy

Welcome

Welcome to Ambassadors Preparatory Academy.  Our board of directors, administrators, faculty, and staff are dedicated to preparing our students to be avid readers and writers, problem solvers, and lifelong learners who are equipped to succeed in the 21st century.  The students’ parents are our partners in education.  Along with many interested members of the Galveston community, they provide the support necessary to guide the students to reach their fullest potential.

Ambassadors Preparatory Academy serves students in grades one through five.  The school day begins at 7:30 a.m. and ends at 5:00 p.m.  Our academic program focuses on oral as well as written language development.  Reading, language arts, mathematics, science, and social studies make up the core curriculum.  Spanish, art, music, and physical education classes supplement the basic program.  All students have meaningful access to technology in the computer laboratory and in the classroom.

All of our students, regardless of ability level, are challenged by high academic and behavioral expectations.  Character development is a very important component of our program.  We encourage the students to take control of and be responsible for their own behavior.  In addition, through instruction and modeling we address such interpersonal interactions as engaging in positive, polite conversation and using good table manners.

Ambassadors Preparatory Academy’s commitment to excellence extends beyond the classroom.  On a regular basis, the students gather to meet with members of the community to learn about and discuss these guests’ areas of expertise. Field trips are a regular part of the program, as are such extracurricular activities as chess club, yoga class, and scouting.
